Documentary Veteran Joins Big Time Decent
Vancouver-based Big Time Decent Productions has added Jeffrey Kinnon to its team in the newly created role of VP of Factual. The documentary veteran most recently served as Series Producer for Discovery’s Mud Mountain and CBC’s High Arctic Haulers while at Great Pacific Television. Prior to that, Kinnon co-created and was Series Producer for Discovery’s Jade Fever while at Omnifilm Entertainment.
As VP of Factual, Kinnon will shepherd a growing slate of doc projects from features to series, while collaborating with BTD’s network of creatives and forging relationships with new talent.
“We’re excited to have Jeff on our team. His creative reputation is stellar and his ability to run difficult productions on location is a great match for us,” said BTD executive producer Matt Shewchuk.
“I’m excited to be joining Big Time Decent. Matt has assembled a great team of creatives and is really building something special at BTD. I’m looking forward to getting to work on BTD’s slate of big and bold projects,” said Kinnon.
The hire comes at a time of increased activity for the prodco. Big Time Decent’s latest factual series, Backroad Truckers, premieres on HISTORY Canada this winter where it will air alongside its long-standing hit Rust Valley Restorers.
